Luis began his engineering journey in Spain, drawn early to how machines harness the power of nature. He completed his technical education before stepping into the wind energy sector—a field that matched his interests in mechanics and sustainability. From the start, he dove into the details of turbine performance and power systems, learning how to read data and anticipate operational issues.

As his experience grew, Luis took on roles across different markets. He worked on-site in various countries, helping troubleshoot turbine performance and learning to adapt to local conditions and regulations. Fieldwork taught him resilience and flexibility—dealing with weather delays, language differences, and technical surprises—while reinforcing the importance of clear communication with diverse teams.

A turning point came when he joined Fortum Sverige as a Wind & Performance Engineer. In this role, Luis combined his field insights with deeper data analysis. He focused on optimizing output, monitoring turbine health, and proposing maintenance strategies based on real-world metrics. His assessments helped improve reliability and guided technical decisions for the wider fleet.

Today, Luis blends solid technical grounding with analytical thinking. He supports operations by identifying performance bottlenecks, refining monitoring processes, and collaborating closely with technicians and managers. A practical engineer at heart, he builds on seven years of international wind experience to ensure turbines run smoothly—and renewables continue powering the future.
