Rémi Stein, Senior Machinery Expert at Engie in France
Career description - freely formulated by the organiser:
Rémi Stein began his career in the energy sector with a strong technical focus. Early roles gave him hands-on experience in machinery diagnostics, where he developed a solid understanding of how complex systems behave over time. His interest in reliability and performance gradually shaped his path toward operations and maintenance.
Over the years, he worked on both technical assessments and broader asset strategies. He became involved in interpreting machine data, improving maintenance plans, and supporting teams in reducing operational risks. His approach was practical and consistent, combining field knowledge with structured analysis.
In time, Rémi took on more responsibility, particularly in managing frameworks for long-term service agreements and supporting contract negotiations. At ENGIE’s Renewables Global Business Unit, his role evolved to include both technical and commercial aspects—bridging the gap between engineering teams and business goals.
Today, his work focuses on improving operational reliability across renewable energy assets. Whether reviewing supplier performance, optimizing contract terms, or advising on asset management strategy, Rémi brings a methodical perspective grounded in years of experience. His career reflects a steady progression built on technical competence, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of long-term asset value.
