S4 - Renewables and Storage

14 Nov - From 09:00 to 10:50

Introduction

As a wind turbine owner, incorporating renewables and storage solutions into wind farm operations involves strategic considerations to optimize energy production, grid stability, and revenue generation. This includes evaluating the feasibility of integrating storage systems, such as batteries or pumped hydro, to mitigate intermittency challenges and enhance grid reliability. Additionally, exploring hybrid renewable energy systems, like wind-solar or wind-hydro, offers opportunities to diversify energy sources and maximize operational efficiency.

Your moderator for this roundtable

Feichin McCormack, O&M Engineering Manager at Energia Generation

Energia operates a diversified portfolio of GE, Siemens, Vestas, Nordex and Enercon. They are in the middle of including storage and hydrogen to their portfolio. Their turbines are found across Ireland, and their headquarters is in Dublin. Usually, these turbine-specific owners' meetings are hosted by O2O WIND, but we have asked our dear members to help us in Madrid.

A big thank you to Energia Renewables!
