S1 - Self-performing turbines

13 Nov - From 10:00 to 11:50

Introduction

Previously, a low-risk profile meant going with Long-Term Service Agreements. Being dependent on an OEM is considered a risk today. More operators are preparing to move away from this dependency and developing more in-house concepts in wind farm operations.

Self-performing your wind turbines is a considerable challenge. It takes a committed team, but you must not be a giant energy company to pursue this path. We have a member who operates 12 turbines in total, self-performing their turbines, and even managed to sidestep the OEM's SCADA. They are not big, but they are committed.

The moderator of this roundtable

Devrim Topcu, Technology and Transformation Mentor at Enerjisa Üretim

Before joining Enerjisa, Devrim worked for 3 years in Alstom Power and 17 years in Siemens, including the last 10 years up to 2020 in Siemens Gamesa. Enerjisa has Siemens 2.3 at the top of its mind as they are currently internalizing its Siemens 2.3 operations. Enerjisa Üretim has a multi-technology portfolio and has its headquarters in İstanbul, Türkiye. Usually, these turbine-specific owners' meetings are hosted by O2O WIND, but for Madrid, we have asked our dear members to help us.

A big thank you to Enerjisa Üretim!
